High Speed Sheeter The Vits-America Belt High Speed Sheeter is capable of delivering single or double cut sheets trimmed to finished dimensions with the power shear slitters. A Programmable Controller with touch control panel automates and simplifies some of the adjustments for a quicker make-ready. Use of the Servo Drive, with register scanner, increases accuracy and greatly simplifies changing cut-off length. A single around cutterhead with pin located knife holders simplifies changeover. The skewed stationary knife in conjunction with the skewed cutterhead knives make a shearing scissors cut. Knife skew and cutterhead skew are automatically adjusted as cuttoff length is reset.
The major components of the Sheeter are the Servo drive and cutterhead, cut-off control system, slitters, feed rollers, tape delivery systems, kicker assembly and elevator system. An automatic centralized grease system lubricates most bearings, minimizing manual lubrication to a few points. Sealed bearings are used in some locations, these require no regular maintenance. Sheeter components are mounted in hot rolled steel precision ground frames supported by cross braces to make up a rigid.
